I would really like to Thank Mr. Werner for writing Effortless Mastery. The book is a boon for aspiring musicians everywhere, and it is like a light in the darkness for many of us. The principles he speaks about are at once, very simple, but at the same time, not the easiest to put into practise because the primary thing required is for one to give up one’s ego consciousness, which for a lot of us, is very difficult. When Mr. Werner describes some of the internal struggles that he went through, it’s uncanny how he seems to be exactly telling me the story of myself - it’s like he’s precisely describing the warped ego processes that go on inside me - and I know a lot of musicians feel the same way. In other words, Mr. Werner has touched on something universal and basic to all people that are aspiring to unlock their creativity, whether through music or through some other creative activity.
