Blog thought: As I sit here looking at the ocean, I am finally writing my piece, “I Honor You As My Own Self”.
I am contemplating evidence that God is compassionate:
1. Hot Water- no matter how dirty or sweaty one gets, or no matter sleazy one has behaved,
they can take a hot shower and feel completely renewed. It’s like a new lease on life.
2. Mosquito bites- as much as you might scratch the night before as the bug is feasting on you,
when you awake the next morning the bites don’t itch.
On the other hand, reasons God is cruel:
1. Food- all the most delicious and easily addictive food is not good for us.
Why didn’t God, in its infinite wisdom, make sugar the essential protein of one’s life? Or bacon fat?
2. Coffee makers-when one takes the glass pot from one’s Mr. Coffee or some such device,
pouring the coffee into one’s cup simultaneously causes the coffee to spill on the counter,
down the drawers and on to the floor. Just pouring it!
Oh Well, back to my piece, my epitome of gratitude, “I Honor My Own Self.”
