Internationally Acclaimed Kenny Werner Trio to Present Jazz Concert and Master Class at U-Mary
Kenny Werner has performed with such jazz legends as Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Henderson, Mel Lewis, Stan Getz, and Joe Lovano. His current trio features Ari Hoenig on drums and Johannes Wiedenmueller on bass. The group has released three CDs together: “Form and Fantasy,” “Beat Degeneration” and “Peace: Live at The Blue Note.”
The Trio consists of Werner, piano; Richie Barshay, drums; and Jorge Roeder, bass.
In 1996, Werner published a book entitled “Effortless Mastery,” that has had a major impact on the music world. It features priceless information about the physical, technical, psychological and spiritual aspects of being an artist. This book continues to help thousands of artists and has greatly increased Werner’s demand as a teacher and clinician at universities all over the world. He currently teaches his techniques in his own classes at New York University.
